About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Trainer Assessor to assist the Training and Competence Manager in ensuring that staff working on the Aventra platform and other relevant projects are technically trained and demonstrably competent to carry out their tasks and responsibilities in line with current legislation and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of technical onboard systems, software development, and fault finding.
  • Conduct diagnostics training, including e-learning, theoretical classroom training, and practical on-site delivery.
  • Support the ongoing development of upskilling competence in basic and advanced systems knowledge.
  • Develop and deliver blended learning solutions for advanced technical development in onboard train systems (e.g., ETCS/CBTC, PIS, AWS/TPWS, Propulsion, TCMS).
  • Develop and deliver blended learning solutions for capability development in technical learning (e.g., Doors, Brakes, Couplers, Toilets, HVAC, PIS).

Requirements

  • Trainer's and Assessor's qualification or equivalent.
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • IT literate in using a range of MS Office programmes and modern digital technologies.
  • Experience of designing and delivering learning to a group in a face-to-face and virtual setting.
