About the Role
Rillet is seeking an experienced engineer to take ownership of product and technical stack development. You will collaborate with leadership to build industry-defining accounting and finance software, influencing both product direction and engineering practices. This role is ideal for individuals energized by using AI to innovate and solve complex problems.
Responsibilities
- Own features and systems end-to-end across the full stack, from backend architecture to user interfaces.
- Partner with product, design, and finance experts to shape product development, advocating for technical tradeoffs and maintaining a customer-centric approach.
- Set high standards for engineering quality, including continuous delivery, test-driven development, and production reliability.
- Mentor team engineers through code reviews and collaboration, enhancing overall technical capabilities.
- Actively incorporate AI tools into daily workflows to solve problems innovatively.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale projects.
- Experience architecting scalable systems.
- Backend-focused fullstack engineer.
- Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or other JVM languages.
- Comfortable driving technical decisions and making tradeoffs under pressure.
- Strong product instincts and focus on user impact.
- Experience working in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being defined.
