About the Role

Rillet is seeking an experienced engineer to take ownership of product and technical stack development. You will collaborate with leadership to build industry-defining accounting and finance software, influencing both product direction and engineering practices. This role is ideal for individuals energized by using AI to innovate and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Own features and systems end-to-end across the full stack, from backend architecture to user interfaces.
• Partner with product, design, and finance experts to shape product development, advocating for technical tradeoffs and maintaining a customer-centric approach.
• Set high standards for engineering quality, including continuous delivery, test-driven development, and production reliability.
• Mentor team engineers through code reviews and collaboration, enhancing overall technical capabilities.
• Actively incorporate AI tools into daily workflows to solve problems innovatively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale projects.
• Experience architecting scalable systems.
• Backend-focused fullstack engineer.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or other JVM languages.
• Comfortable driving technical decisions and making tradeoffs under pressure.
• Strong product instincts and focus on user impact.
• Experience working in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being defined.
