About the Role
As an Expeditor, you are responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of food from the kitchen to the dining area. You will coordinate the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered promptly to guests. Your role is crucial in maintaining a smooth kitchen operation and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the expediting process during meal periods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of dishes.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage the timing and presentation of dishes according to order tickets.
- Check each dish for quality, portioning, and presentation before it leaves the kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team for seamless coordination.
- Monitor the quality of food being prepared, ensuring it meets club standards.
- Address and resolve any issues with food quality or presentation promptly.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Keep the expediting area organized and clean.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Manage the organization of order tickets and ensure efficient processing.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with chefs, cooks, and servers.
- Assist in training new kitchen and service staff on expediting procedures and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and timely.
- Interact professionally with members and guests, accommodating changes and last-minute requests.
- Support fellow employees and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Address and resolve member and guest complaints professionally.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and commitment to excellence.
- Follow safe working practices and encourage others to do the same.
- Take initiative in personal and professional growth.
- Address and resolve challenges using available resources.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as an expeditor or in a similar role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and presentation standards.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.
