About the Role
The Social Buyer is responsible for planning, executing, optimizing, and reporting on paid social media campaigns across various platforms. This role ensures campaigns are delivered efficiently, meet performance KPIs, and contribute to broader marketing and business objectives. The ideal candidate combines analytical skills, platform expertise, creativity, and a strong understanding of consumer behavior.
Responsibilities
- Develop paid social strategies aligned with client or brand objectives.
- Recommend platform mix, targeting approaches, audience segmentation, and budget allocation.
- Participate in integrated planning with media, creative, and analytics teams.
- Build and launch paid social campaigns across major platforms.
- Set up tracking using pixels, UTMs, and platform conversion APIs.
- Ensure proper pacing and delivery of budget and impressions.
- Monitor daily campaign performance and optimize toward KPIs.
- Test creative variations, audiences, bidding strategies, and placements.
- Identify trends, insights, and opportunities to improve results and efficiency.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and end-of-campaign reports.
- Translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Present results to internal teams and/or clients.
- Work with creative teams on briefing, reviewing, and testing social assets.
- Coordinate with analytics or tech teams on tagging, tracking, and data flows.
- Manage deadlines, deliverables, and platform requirements.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in paid social media buying or digital media.
- Retail DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) client and US market experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of social platforms (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.).
- Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Adobe analytics, Google Analytics, or other web analytics platforms).
- Experience with pixels, conversion APIs, and event tracking.
- Ability to analyze data and communicate insights clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
