About the Role

Shape the next generation of legal professionals by delivering high-quality teaching and support for learning. This role offers a chance to continuously enhance teaching methods, assess student progress, and contribute to curriculum development within a supportive academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and support for learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and student support.
  • Assess student work and progress through formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and feedforward to students.
  • Identify needs for module content, structure, and assessment development.
  • Propose improvements for curricular design.
  • Contribute to the effective design and review of inclusive learning.
  • Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
  • Act as a module lecturer and academic coach.
  • Sign-post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (for Lecturer positions).
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards (for Lecturer positions).
  • Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE (for Lecturer positions).
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject (for Senior Lecturer positions).
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) (for Senior Lecturer positions).
  • PgCHE or equivalent (for Senior Lecturer positions).
  • Ability to design and deliver high-quality teaching programmes.
  • Ability to provide impactful student support.
  • Must be able to prove the right to work in the UK.

  • £40,500–£42,500 for Lecturers
  • £49,000–£54,000 for Senior Lecturers
  • £4,300 London weighting allowance for London-based roles
