About the Role

The Associate will join the PJT Park Hill Private Equity team in San Francisco, supporting West Coast distribution efforts. Responsibilities include maintaining existing LP relationships and developing new ones.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong LP and GP relationships, navigating them to maximize commercial impact and influence key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of investors, clients, key selling points, and challenges around mandates to effectively address them with investors.
  • Anticipate investor base needs and use this knowledge to direct both sales and sourcing efforts.
  • Provide advice to LP clients on market trends and strategies beyond PJT Park Hill mandates.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of sales, playing an integral role throughout the negotiation, structuring, distributing, and closing phases of complex transactions.
  • Work effectively with existing project management teams across the firm to ensure effective communication and dialogue, improving distribution results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, with Accounting, Finance, or Economics major preferred.
  • 5-10 years of fundraising experience, particularly with private equity.
  • Strong investor relationships and substantial experience in managing capital raises.
  • Ability to drive multiple sales processes simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable track record of building client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of the markets and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively as part of a global team.
  • Confident and self-aware.
