About the Role
We are seeking a Communications Manager in Berlin to independently manage communication for the foundation's projects, focusing on major annual initiatives like 'Tag der Nachbarschaft', 'Deutscher Nachbarschaftspreis', and 'Klimaschutz nebenan'.
Responsibilities
- Manage communication for the foundation's projects, including major annual initiatives.
- Oversee social media channels, including content creation, editorial planning, and developing new formats and communication strategies.
- Write press releases, project documentation, concepts, and presentations.
- Liaise with media representatives and journalists to promote the foundation's topics.
- Participate in the development and implementation of digital and analog marketing measures (e.g., advertisements, OOH campaigns) and coordinate with external agencies.
- Collaborate with the innovative nebenan.de network in communication efforts.
- Contribute actively with own ideas to the development of new foundation initiatives.
Requirements
- Completed university degree.
- Initial professional experience in communications, PR, political communication, or journalism, ideally with a communications agency.
- Knowledge of press and public relations, and proficiency/creativity in digital communication tools and methods, especially social media.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Keen interest in (digital) media and societal/political issues, with an understanding of communication trends.
- Proficient in standard computer programs (PowerPoint, Excel, databases), Content Management Systems, and content creation tools (e.g., Canva).
- Very meticulous, independent work style, strong organizational skills, and willingness to take responsibility.
- High level of initiative, quick comprehension, and flexibility.
- Strong team player and excellent communicator.
