About the Role
As a Driver, you will drive a well-maintained vehicle while professionally representing Messer to customers. This position is ideal for individuals motivated to drive heavy vehicles (Class 3/DZ License) and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform multiple deliveries daily, including loading and unloading cylinders, of gas products and hardgoods to local customers within the assigned geographical area using a 5- or 10-ton truck.
- Balance cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder records.
- Complete administrative duties, including using handheld technology for processing deliveries and reconciling agent consignment inventory balances.
- Comply with all government regulations.
- Maintain vehicles according to company policy, observe safety requirements, wear safety equipment, and report safety hazards to supervisors.
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience with recognized driving school training or 3 years of driving experience.
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
- A clean driving abstract (to be readily available upon request).
- Ability to handle and lift goods up to 60 lbs.
