About the Role
We are looking for a Director, Decision Infrastructure to lead the Decision Systems team responsible for design, build and maintenance of the decision infrastructure and related data interfaces. This role requires a seasoned leader to partner with several teams across LendingClub to understand their business needs, manage complex, cross-functional work and provide support to achieve the strategic business objectives via automated decisioning technology. This role will report into the VP of Risk Infrastructure and will navigate the team through challenges and drive impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic transformation programs for Risk Infrastructure, partnering with Credit Risk, Modeling, Business, Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams.
- Collaborate with Team Managers to implement BAU policies and models on the Decision Infrastructure for Personal Loan Portfolio.
- Develop in-depth expertise in LendingClub’s products, technologies, and processes.
- Build strong partnerships with Credit Risk and Business teams to manage demand and ensure effective Risk Infrastructure function.
- Collaborate with Engineering SMEs to define technology strategy, roadmap future state architecture, and scale decisioning solutions.
- Apply AI to build next-gen lending platforms, optimize processes, boost productivity, and accelerate decisioning transformation.
- Provide timely project reports to leadership, including progress, issues, risks, and escalations.
- Prepare Decision Systems presentations for management updates.
- Lead and support team members' professional and technical development, informing management on performance, challenges, and opportunities, and providing strategic recommendations.
- Oversee offshore contract team, manage key role recruitment, and enhance operational efficiencies.
- Lead internal and external regulatory audits and ensure resolution of audit findings.
Requirements
- 10+ years of leadership in developing and managing teams with complex technology programs in fintech or financial services, including 6+ years in people management.
- 10+ years experience with rules engines (e.g., GDS Link, Provenir, Drools, Alloy, Blaze, Oscilar) or equivalent technologies.
- Strong technical foundation in building APIs, microservices, cloud architectural patterns, and tech strategy.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience navigating fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments, solving complex technical issues with optimal business outcomes.
- Executive presence with a strategic mindset, balancing long-term vision with tactical execution and operational efficiency.

- $210,000 - $245,000
