About the Role
This role is part of HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, focusing on designing critical infrastructure for the digital age and shaping spaces for work, connection, and thriving. The work supports technological advancement, sustainability, and human experience, ranging from high-performance data centers for AI to dynamic commercial environments. The team comprises mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering experts who solve complex design challenges with precision, creativity, and collaboration. Contributions will define the future of the built environment through optimizing energy efficiency, integrating resilient systems, and engineering next-generation facilities. This position offers a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support
- Function as Project Manager and take responsibility for project production in addition to management duties
- Assume administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
- Participate in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews
- Engage directly with industrial and public clients on marketing, project production, and related issues
- Ensure all work is planned, organized, controlled, and evaluated through a proactive project management system
- Implement, monitor, and support company policy
- Select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel
- Manage and develop multidiscipline teams
- Collaborate with National Directors and marketing staff on local and national marketing and production efforts
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Good leadership and organizational skills
