About the Role
The foundation is seeking a Communications Manager in Berlin to independently manage communication for its projects, focusing on major annual initiatives like 'Tag der Nachbarschaft', 'Deutscher Nachbarschaftspreis', and 'Klimaschutz nebenan'. This role involves managing social media channels, content creation, editorial planning, and developing new formats and communication strategies.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage communication for the foundation's projects, focusing on major annual initiatives.
- Manage social media channels, including content creation, editorial planning, and development of new formats and communication strategies.
- Write texts for press releases, project documentation, concepts, and presentations.
- Liaise with media representatives and journalists to promote the foundation's topics.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of digital and analog marketing measures, such as advertisements and Out of Home campaigns, and coordinate with external agencies.
- Consider the collaboration with the innovative network nebenan.de in the foundation's communication.
- Actively contribute own ideas to the development of new initiatives for the foundation.
Requirements
- Completed university degree.
- Initial professional experience in communications, e.g., in PR, political communication, or journalism, ideally with a communications agency.
- Knowledge in press and public relations, as well as proficiency and creativity in all digital communication tools and methods, especially social media.
- Strong writing skills and good oral expression.
- Strong interest in (digital) media and social or political issues, with a sense for communication trends.
- Proficient use of standard computer programs like PowerPoint, Excel, databases, Content Management Systems, and content creation tools like Canva.
- Very careful, independent work style, strong organizational skills, and willingness to take responsibility.
- High level of initiative, quick comprehension, and flexibility.
- Strong team spirit and communication skills.
