About the Role
As a Principal Delivery Consultant at Red Badger, you will be an expert in your discipline, setting the benchmark for quality and best practices. You will foster positive client relationships and ensure the successful delivery of programmes of work using lean and agile techniques. You will provide leadership and governance across multi-team programmes, consult on digital delivery strategy, and run proof-of-concept workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for programme level planning and alignment, data based forecasting, reporting, and identifying and resolving organisational level risks, impediment or blockers
- Accountable for delivery quality across the client engagement ensuring consistency of approach and a clear governance framework
- Enabling continuous improvement and high quality outcomes through the promotion of lead agile methodologies
- Driving successful project delivery, collaborating within a team of Delivery Leads
- Managing project/programme finances and working with cell leadership to drive account profitability
- Championing the Delivery discipline on complex digital transformation projects
- Commercial awareness and input to account planning with Cell leadership
- Influence and align client organisation and badger teams to lean and agile practices
- Responsible for account level delivery leadership and governance
- Collaborate with the Principal Product and Technology roles to give delivery teams space and autonomy to thrive
- Support shaping new sales opportunities and contracts
- Setting and implementing a delivery strategy and framework across multiple teams for clients to solve large scale and complex problems
- Aligning stakeholders across the client organisation to the delivery strategy by contextualising your decisions through influence and diplomacy
- Communicate with confidence to a broad range of stakeholders and client teams
- Become a trusted advisor to our clients by collaborating with them to deliver business and user value
- Caring for peoples’ careers and wellbeing, with the potential for line management responsibilities
- Providing discipline coaching and mentoring, supporting and inspiring all the Delivery Leads within the client engagement
- Provide Delivery discipline thought leadership and contribute to the growth of Red Badger brand in the industry
- Champion Red Badger’s ways of working: cross-functional teams, continuously delivering value, building quality
- Be an ambassador for Red Badger, and an advocate for ‘doing the right thing’, ‘doing the thing right’ by supporting and enabling others to do so
Requirements
- Expert practitioner of agile and lean practices, able to adapt based on environment and circumstances
- Focused on data-driven delivery, using data to drive decisions
- Able to understand and forecast key deliverables and communicate project status clearly with senior stakeholders
- Able to help teams mitigate risks to delivery
- Able to tailor messages to suit audience needs using exceptional communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a proven track record of delivering quality digital products in complex environments, through all phases of a product’s lifecycle
- Outcome and value-driven, able to clearly articulate the user and business value of the work delivered
- Comfortable managing, coaching and mentoring other Delivery Leads
- Agile and lean advocate that can coach and educate without being dogmatic
- Able to share knowledge and understanding to ensure we’re delivering the right thing, the right way
- Commercially savvy, able to draft contracts for new engagements, and help contribute to a sustainable account strategy
- Have started or introduced the delivery community of practice or guild in a previous organisation
- Experience hiring and staffing a new delivery team
- Have public speaking or producing content experience on lean and agile delivery in the industry
- Have proactively identify ways to improve the delivery discipline’s outward-facing reputation and find avenues to promote your previous organisation’s brand externally
- Have clear opinions on the effectiveness of different frameworks and methodologies and can use real case studies to bring your opinions to life
