About the Role

This role assists the Engineering Department and Stores function to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include controlling the use and resupply of bus parts, managing daily fuel level checks, supervising deliveries, monitoring oils and lubricants, and ensuring timely stock movements between sites. The role also provides administrative support for the engineering department.

Responsibilities

• Manage all wet and dry stock to ensure appropriate holding and use in line with budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure consumption complies with Company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Order and receipt goods.
• Package dirty components for return to suppliers.
• Restock shelves and maintain a clean and tidy workplace.
• Perform daily fuel dips and manage deliveries.
• Provide administration support for the Engineering function.
• Assist with Stores projects to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
• Support 6-monthly and annual stock counts.
• Understand and follow engineering materials budgets.

Requirements

• Be well organised with good attention to detail.
• Have strong IT skills.
• Have effective communication skills, be self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Be comfortable working as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Possess good timekeeping and be highly reliable.
• Hold a Full UK Driving licence.
• Stores background is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
• Background within a PSV Bus operational workshop environment is preferable.
