About the Role

This role involves assisting the Client Accounting Teams in a variety of tasks across accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, requiring an eye for accounting and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the client accounting teams, agent teams, and Festival team with the credit control for artist performance fees.
  • Preparing weekly credit control and promoter reports for agents’ rosters.
  • Adding weekly commission currency exchange rates to a bespoke CRM.
  • Preparing refunds to promoters, merging and filing payments runs documents.
  • Allocating and reconciling all incoming deposit and outgoing payments for clients’ shows.
  • Leveraging company-wide resources to investigate ambiguous payments and receipts.
  • Preparing and circulating client trust reports including Remitter Mismatch and Unallocated transactions lists.
  • Reviewing the incoming receipts inbox and assigning payment confirmations to CRM.
  • Creating booking fee invoices for tax mitigation purposes.
  • Verifying new artist bank details.
  • Performing various ad hoc duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • A passion for numbers and interest in gaining experience leading to a career in finance/accounting.
  • Some prior exposure to accounting or finance – through study or work experience – is desirable.
  • Experience with Excel and Outlook required.
  • Ability to juggle several tasks at once and consistently deliver high-quality work to tight timescales.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Calm under pressure.
