About the Role
The Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe strengthens young people in actively shaping democracy and developing European perspectives. To ensure our programs, funding, and partnerships function well, we need strong internal structures and reliable financial processes. We are seeking a Finance Administrator (part-time or full-time, 65-100%) to responsibly manage and develop our financial processes, working closely with colleagues from our program areas. A key focus in the first year will be the transition to DATEV and the expansion of our financial and controlling structures. You will actively shape financial management in an internationally operating foundation and sustainably develop our processes.
Responsibilities
- Processing payments and managing payment transactions.
- Assisting with budget planning and controlling, including process optimization and development.
- Monitoring compliance with grant and procurement law requirements and donor guidelines.
- Serving as a point of contact for colleagues regarding project finances, funding, and budgets.
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes in collaboration with the external tax office and management.
- Performing general administrative tasks in the finance department.
Requirements
- Structured work approach and a willingness to take responsibility.
- Enjoyment of well-organized processes.
- Affinity for numbers and a very meticulous way of working.
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with our structures.
- Experience in finance, accounting, or administration, preferably in a non-profit organization or similar environment.
- Experience with financial and administrative systems (preferably DATEV) or digitalization of financial workflows.
- Good English and German language skills (English is the working language of the foundation).
- Interest in project finances and grant management.
