About the Role
We are looking for dedicated, politically interested, and communicative support for our team. Our Digital Communications department is responsible for the party's digital presence at the federal level and for the party leaders. Together, we develop and implement creative social media formats that effectively, currently, and target-group-oriented bring the party's messages to the digital public in close cooperation with other departments of the federal office and elected representatives. Our team combines editorial, production, and dialogue & community management. The advertised position is primarily in the editorial department. In addition to editorial work, the new team member will also support production as needed.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the design and implementation of social media activities for BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN.
- Develop target-group-oriented and platform-specific content and new formats for the social media channels of BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN and its federal leaders (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Oversee the entire content creation process, from ideation to production and publication.
- Create production briefings, video scripts, and compelling texts for social media posts that convey our political content understandably and interestingly.
- Partially produce video and graphic material yourself using common tools.
- Accompany our events and federal leaders during appointments or election campaigns.
- Monitor political debates and react quickly and pointedly with relevant content.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from other departments and directly with the executive board.
- Monitor channel performance and derive recommendations for action.
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training in communications or a degree, preferably in journalism, political science, communication, or media studies.
- At least two years of professional experience in social media management and familiarity with common platforms.
- Proficient in using editorial systems.
- Creativity and a feel for current political, social, and pop culture topics to develop innovative content.
- Strong research skills and the ability to quickly, precisely, and understandably write concepts, captions, and video scripts.
- Basic knowledge of image and video editing, with the ability to independently implement simple short video content.
- Quick comprehension and flexibility, maintaining an overview even in stressful times.
- Self-organization and project management skills, working independently and proactively.
- Willingness to work on Sundays and public holidays in exceptional cases and to undertake business trips.
- Optional: Willingness to appear on camera.
