About the Role
This is a newly created, senior contract role focused on building analytics foundations to support CALM's long-term growth and impact. The role is hands-on, requiring comfort with strategy, framework building, infrastructure improvement, and direct analytical work.
Responsibilities
- Embed the Behaviour Change Framework and Measurement System into practice.
- Support the setting of baselines and targets for five-year OKRs and define year-to-year milestones.
- Audit existing data, identify gaps, and develop new data collection methods.
- Design reporting, review, and evaluation processes against the framework.
- Create practical guidelines and rules for using the framework and survey questions.
- Take ownership of the Microsoft Azure Data Warehouse and Power BI environment, driving adoption.
- Build and mature data pipelines for reliable and consistent data.
- Oversee the development of scalable data models, reporting structures, and analytics processes.
- Deliver actionable dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
- Work with external data engineering consultancies.
- Establish data and analytics foundations for CALM's growth.
- Create sustainable processes, documentation, and ways of working.
- Develop a forward-looking plan for data and analytics.
- Champion data literacy across the organisation.
- Lead and manage the Data Analyst.
- Collaborate with the Senior Insight Manager for alignment between Insight and Analytics functions.
- Engage confidently with senior stakeholders including the CEO, COO, and Senior Leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior data or analytics role with hands-on delivery experience.
- Good understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, and analytics best practices.
- Strong technical skills across data modelling, SQL, Power BI, and modern data platforms.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (ideally Microsoft Azure).
- Practical experience building and maturing analytics capabilities in a growing organisation.
- Experience developing reporting frameworks, KPIs, and performance measurement approaches.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools such as GA4 and CRMs e.g. Salesforce.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised and structured approach with strong attention to documentation and process design.
- Collaborative working style and ability to build strong relationships.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior analysts.
- Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with ability to prioritise effectively and focus on impact.
- Previous data engineering experience (desirable).
- Management of AI/ML workflows and predictive analytics projects (desirable).
- Experience working within a charity, non-profit, or mission-led organisation (desirable).
- Right to work in the UK.
