About the Role

As a Werkstudent*in Kommunale Netzwerke, you will contribute to the success of the National Competence Network for Sustainable Mobility (NaKoMo). This network serves as a central point of contact for sustainable mobility topics for federal, state, and local governments, aiming to connect stakeholders, share experiences, and contribute expertise for sustainable mobility across Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Support the editorial and content management of the network's digital exchange platform, including researching content and relevant images.
  • Maintain the NaKoMo editorial plan, create postings, and independently publish them on the platform.
  • Assist with NaKoMo's community management, independently answer platform inquiries, and interact with members.
  • Support the creation and distribution of NaKoMo newsletters.
  • Research topics and speakers for NaKoMo events.
  • Support the conception, planning, and execution of live communication formats such as the NaKoMo conference and online events, particularly digital NaKoMo workshops and lectures.
  • Assist with internal team processes, including taking minutes, coordinating inquiries, and managing reporting processes.
  • Manage and administer the team's promotional items and materials, including their dispatch.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma in Communications and Media Studies, Politics, Public Administration, Geography, Urban Planning/Development, or a comparable field.
  • Strong interest in sustainability and sustainable mobility (e.g., sharing, mobility management, climate-friendly drives, redesign of public spaces).
  • Excellent writing skills for online content with a strong command of language and flawless German spelling.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management.
  • High resilience, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor even under pressure.
  • Open-minded and proactive personality.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Alignment with NOW's sustainable mobility strategy and a desire to actively implement it.
