About the Role
Deutsche Bank’s Strategic Investment Group (“SIG”) is seeking a Deal Sourcing professional to join its market leading strategic investment and distressed credit franchise. The role will focus primarily on sourcing distressed loan opportunities from Japanese bank clients, while also providing support to the SIG investment analyst team in areas such as asset management, including direct engagement with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining long term relationships, including senior level relationships, with key Japanese bank clients to originate deal opportunities
- Ensuring appropriate credit oversight to support effective sourcing activities and strategy development
- Identifying attractive credit investment opportunities in close collaboration with the Investment Analyst team
- Working closely with external loan servicers to execute acquisitions and manage non performing loan portfolio assets
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the Japanese banking industry, financial advisory firms, and/or credit investment companies or funds
- Strong ability to identify attractive investment and financing opportunities
- Native level Japanese and business level English proficiency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work seamlessly with diverse stakeholders, including Traders, Investment Analysts, Senior Deal Sourcing Staff, Legal, and Operations teams
