About the Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you will directly contribute to revenue impact while building a long-term commercial career. You will have early exposure to client interactions, senior leadership, high-value accounts, and strategic growth initiatives that accelerate your advancement into a revenue-generating role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct account analysis to identify growth areas within existing contracts.
  • Track customer engagement and usage patterns to uncover scope expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Specialists to execute targeted upsell initiatives.
  • Use Salesforce and PowerBI to identify whitespace within accounts and regions.
  • Qualify opportunities through strategic client outreach and needs assessment.
  • Launch cross-sell campaigns to introduce new products and data solutions to existing accounts.
  • Manage inbound leads and conduct outbound campaigns to drive new business opportunities.
  • Qualify prospects, schedule discovery calls, and progress leads through the pipeline.
  • Use CRM and sales engagement tools to ensure consistent follow-up, pipeline hygiene, and accurate reporting.
  • Shadow live sales cycles across all stages from prospecting to proposal.
  • Contribute to demos, proposal creation, and contract execution as skills advance.
  • Develop commercial acumen through real-time interaction with clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Strong interest in financial markets, client engagement, and commercial career progression
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive self-starter with resilience, intellectual curiosity, and growth mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience or internship in sales, client engagement, or financial services
  • Familiarity with contract terms, pricing structures, or commercial processes
  • Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn complex product offerings
