About the Role
Seeking experienced Event Production Technicians to support church services and hosted events on a contracted basis. Events include memorials, weddings, church services, conferences, community gatherings, and rentals.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and strike audio, lighting, staging, and basic video systems
- Support projection and livestream needs when required
- Maintain professionalism, especially during memorial services
- Follow venue safety standards (fire safety, OSHA awareness, ADA considerations)
- Keep production areas organized and event-ready
Requirements
- Experience in live event or church production
- Working knowledge of audio and/or lighting systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- Strong communication and client-facing professionalism
Skills
- Live mixing for speech and live music
- Microphone placement and system setup
- Troubleshooting and signal flow management
- Basic lighting programming and cue execution using a HOG Lighting console
- Stage wash and event-appropriate lighting design
- Operation during services and special events
- Load-in and load-out
- Stage setup (podiums, backline, pipe & drape)
- Cable management and equipment setup
- Oversee technical setup and execution
- Coordinate with pastors, families, wedding planners, musicians, and rental clients day of
- Manage timelines and run-of-show
- Digital console experience
- Lighting programming experience
- Livestream or video production experience
- Event coordination or stage management background
