About the Role

The Career Navigator ensures a positive first impression for all customers entering the Workforce Center or engaging virtually, providing effective triage and prioritizing their needs. This critical role offers technical assistance and support to workforce staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform essential workforce services for individuals participating in workforce programs.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions with new customers to identify immediate needs.
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine customer benefit from program enrollment or direct referral.
  • Collect, analyze, research, and determine program requirements and customer eligibility.
  • Identify employment barriers and customer eligibility for critical workforce programs and services.
  • Obtain relevant customer information for data entry and prepare customer files.
  • Provide information to staff regarding workforce programs and services for customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field of study and one (1) year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance with good driving record.
  • Ability to relocate within the service delivery area.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
