Responsibilities
- Serve as primary relationship management contact for a large portfolio of clients.
- Identify client needs and collaborate with internal partners to structure customized solutions.
- Ensure high-quality products, service, and platforms are available to clients.
- Recommend appropriate solutions (SVB Go, financing, private banking, wealth advisory, foreign exchange, payments, cards, cash management) based on core banking product knowledge.
- Develop industry sector expertise and thought leadership.
- Drive and lead curated industry events for an external network.
- Generate and foster a strong network of referral partners/external sources (including venture and growth-stage investors) to drive a qualified prospect pipeline.
- Advise, originate, and negotiate credit and financing solutions and structures with internal business partners.
- Provide strategic insights aligned with client needs and market trends.
- Lead team interactions with key cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate with appropriate business units to achieve success drivers and corporate goals.
- Mentor and guide team members in client relationship, business development, and financial solutions skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Relationship Management experience, or High School/GED and 8 years of Relationship Management experience.
- 7 years of experience in Commercial banking, venture capital, Relationship Management, or industry-specific knowledge in technology.
- Highly effective with people and relationships.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills.
- Good closing skills.
- Strong focus and ownership on the overall client experience.
- Ability to build and maintain a network of business relationships, including executive management of clients, prospects, investors, and other referral sources.
- Knowledge of bank operations and commercial banking products.
