About the Role
Counsels and aids individuals and families requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems, such as alcohol or drug abuse. This role reports to the Admissions Manager.
Responsibilities
- Answer admissions calls, screen and motivate clients for treatment, and remove logistical barriers to admission
- Serve as back up for overflow calls when the primary admissions officer is unavailable
- Set tasks for other admissions officers to follow up on
- Screen callers for detox, inpatient, or outpatient programming
- Admit, consult, and market for clients
- Assist an admissions coordinator with development, VOB, recruiting strategies, and client-related duties
- Work in a team environment with a positive attitude and desire to help clients
Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, or keyboard
- Ability to sit at a desk and computer for an extended period of time
- Adequate vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination for job duties
