About the Role

The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education (CBVRCE) is seeking a Plumbing Program Teacher to foster a caring, dynamic, and creative educational environment. This role supports approximately 12,000 students in 38 schools, promoting a love of learning and challenging students to develop their full potential. The CBVRCE is committed to ensuring the success and achievement of all students within a culturally responsive, safe, and inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct in areas including Workplace Mentoring, Safety Practices, Building Codes, Generic Blueprint, Tools and Equipment, Hoisting, Lifting and Rigging, Welding, Fuel Brazing and Cutting, Plastic Piping, Copper Pipe Tube and Tubing, Steel Piping, Cast Iron Piping, Drainage, Waste and Venting Systems, and Residential Potable Water Distribution.

Requirements

  • Upload a completed resume.
  • Upload Journeyperson and Red Seal Certification.
  • Include 3 references, one of which is the applicant's immediate supervisor.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding skills, abilities, and experience as it relates to the Position Specific Qualifications/Descriptions.

  • Certificate of Qualification (RED SEAL Journeyperson) Plumber.

Salary/Compensations

  • Salary is as per NSTU Provincial Collective Agreement
