About the Role
The Developer Relations Engineer will deeply understand and use Langfuse, advocating for the product by creating content, building demos, improving documentation, and speaking at events. This technical product advocacy role requires strong technical skills to explain Langfuse to AI engineering teams and translate market insights into product communication.
Responsibilities
- Become a Langfuse subject matter expert across tracing, evals, prompt management, datasets, metrics, self-hosting, and the broader AI engineering workflow.
- Create product and technical marketing content including blog posts, product deep dives, guides, cookbooks, benchmarks, demos, webpages, docs, conference talks, social posts, and launch videos.
- Translate technical features and nuance into clear value propositions for developers and teams.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and the ClickHouse product marketing team to launch new capabilities with sharp positioning and technical proof.
- Enhance documentation, guides, and examples to be best in category.
- Build runnable demo apps, code examples, and workshop material.
- Speak at, organize, and attend high-signal in-person events for AI engineers, including conferences, meetups, workshops, customer sessions, and ClickHouse field moments.
- Transform event participation into reusable product education, including talks, demos, workshop repos, follow-up content, customer questions, sales learnings, and improved positioning.
- Help define content strategy and roadmap based on product priorities, customer questions, community signals, search demand, and current AI engineering trends.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis across LLM observability, evals, agent observability, prompt management, and related developer tooling.
- Utilize metrics and feedback to assess content effectiveness, improve performance, and recommend future actions.
- Engage with users, community members, sales, solutions, and support to ensure product communication addresses real customer problems.
Requirements
- Engineer, data scientist, developer advocate, product marketing engineer, or technical product marketer capable of deep product understanding.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering, technical product marketing, DevRel, data science, technical writing, developer tools, or a similar technical field.
- Exceptional writing skills, simplifying complex technical ideas without making them shallow.
- Proficient in coding to build examples, inspect SDKs, understand traces, and maintain credibility with engineers.
- Ability to advocate for a technical product in person and in writing, explaining both 'why' and 'how'.
- Possesses good taste in content and strong opinions on useful technical writing.
- Capable of owning projects end-to-end, from initial input to public asset shipment.
- Collaborates effectively across product, engineering, marketing, sales, solutions, support, and ClickHouse counterparts.
- Curious about AI engineering and stays current with developer builds.
- Experience creating content such as blog posts, videos, talks, social posts, newsletters, docs, open-source examples, or technical explainers.
- Has an audience or clear evidence that experienced technical people value their explanations.
- Experience in engineering, product marketing engineering, DevRel, data infrastructure, observability, databases, AI tooling, or developer tools.
- Deep knowledge of LLM applications, agents, evals, prompt engineering, RAG, or observability.
- Experience running benchmarks, writing competitive deep dives, or producing opinionated technical market analysis.
- Experience speaking at technical events, organizing developer events, running workshops, or building community around a technical product.
- Contributes to open-source projects.
- Comfortable on camera and on stage.
- Knowledge of ClickHouse, SQL, analytics systems, or data infrastructure.
