About the Role

Pendo's Product Marketing team translates product features into their significance, operating at the intersection of product, revenue, and marketing. The team drives narratives, positioning, and go-to-market strategies to achieve pipeline and commercial outcomes. This senior team emphasizes high ownership and impactful work. The product analytics landscape is evolving with AI, increasing the need to understand user behavior in software. As the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Pendo's Analytics portfolio, you will own go-to-market strategy, messaging, competitive positioning, and pipeline-driving marketing motions. This role requires deep product analytics context, including familiarity with tools like Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own messaging, positioning, and talk tracks for the Analytics portfolio, ensuring alignment across product, sales, marketing, and leadership.
  • Build and execute end-to-end go-to-market plans for the Analytics portfolio, including ICP definition, channel strategy, campaign execution, launch moments, and success metrics.
  • Serve as the in-house expert on competitors, building battlecards, win/loss insights, and positioning to support sales in late-stage deals.
  • Define channel mix and run campaigns to support marketing-sourced ARR for the Analytics portfolio, connecting activity to measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Build and execute analyst and influencer relations for product analytics to gain recognition where buyers research and validate vendor decisions.
  • Develop enablement for revenue teams, translating technical differentiation into practical guidance for conversations with product managers, data analysts, and growth teams.
  • Partner with product and growth on PLG motions, including self-serve activation, freemium-to-paid conversion, and in-product messaging.
  • Define and own metrics connecting Analytics marketing activity to pipeline and commercial outcomes, tracking free-to-paid conversion, activation rates, and marketing-sourced ARR.

Requirements

  • Ability to build and define paths when none exist, identifying gaps, shaping solutions, and driving them forward.
  • Operate as a strategic advisor, influencing decisions, guiding stakeholders, and elevating work processes.
  • Genuinely AI-curious, rewiring work around AI tools to be faster, sharper, and more prolific.
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, including at least 2–3 years in product marketing for a product analytics, data, or developer-facing platform.
  • Direct experience using product analytics tools such as Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, or similar platforms, with a strong understanding of funnels, retention curves, event schemas, and instrumentation decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and own competitive positioning in a crowded market, translating technical differentiation into buyer-relevant messaging.
  • Strong writing and content instincts, including the ability to create crisp narratives, sharp positioning documents, and effective launch communications.
  • AI-native approach to work, using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to move faster, pressure-test ideas, and raise the quality of what you ship.

Skills

  • Experience working at or alongside a product analytics vendor such as Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, PostHog, FullStory, or similar.
  • Experience with PLG go-to-market motions, including self-serve acquisition, freemium conversion, and community-led distribution.
  • Familiarity with event-based analytics, session replay, funnel analysis, cohort retention, or A/B testing concepts.
  • Experience building or contributing to analyst relations programs with organizations such as Gartner, Forrester, or G2 in a product analytics or adjacent space.
