About the Role

This role offers an opportunity to start a merchandising career with the goal of becoming a Buyer. The Event Coordinator/Merchandise Assistant will collaborate with buying teams to source fashionable merchandise for Rue La La and Gilt. The position provides training and exposure to purchase order processing, vendor negotiation, online boutique curation, and logistics management with warehouse and production teams. Responsibilities

Generate and track purchase orders for Rue La La and Gilt boutiques.
Partner with the Fulfillment team to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
Build product assortments with buyers and influence styles on Rue La La and Gilt.
Select products for photography in the on-site studio for boutiques and marketing.
Collaborate daily with Programming, Planning, Boutique Production, Creative, and Marketing to maximize sales.

Requirements

Passion for merchandising, e-commerce, and fashion.
0-1 years of experience, internships and co-ops are welcome.
Familiarity with Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLookUps, and Formulas.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
