About the Role
The Beverage Cart Attendant delivers exceptional service, enriching member and guest experiences on the golf course and designated areas. This role proactively engages with members and guests, ensuring high satisfaction and enhancing member retention by coordinating with club departments to provide consistent service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional food and beverage service standards.
- Greet members by name and introduce yourself to guests politely and friendly.
- Provide timely and attentive coverage of assigned course areas, visiting each group every 4-5 holes.
- Assist members and guests with requests and dispose of trash to maintain a clean environment.
- Stock the beverage cart with food, beverages, ice, and transaction supplies.
- Operate the golf cart safely, following all guidelines and policies.
- Collect payments and accurately reconcile daily transactions.
- Document product spills and waste.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of products and upsell.
- Use tee sheets and line-ups to identify members and guests for personalized experiences.
- Communicate with the Food & Beverage Director regarding product requests or issues.
- Clean and sanitize the cart, ensuring health code compliance.
- Request and restock supplies to maintain proper par levels.
- Assist fellow employees and participate as a supportive team member.
- Notify management of member/guest complaints and practice service recovery.
- Follow golf etiquette rules when approaching golf groups.
- Assist others and take on additional tasks as assigned.
- Follow all company, club, and department policies and procedures.
- Maintain professionalism and commitment to excellence in interactions.
- Follow safe working practices and ensure safety guideline compliance.
- Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain required certifications.
- Address and resolve challenges using available resources and team collaboration.
- Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities.
- Wear a clean, neat uniform meeting club standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage service.
- Certification in alcohol and food safety awareness.
- Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow instructions.
- Strong commitment to maintaining the highest ethical work standards.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.
