About the Role

This role involves providing exceptional care to seniors and fostering a warm, homelike environment. We seek dedicated, compassionate individuals ready to make a positive impact in residents' lives, contributing to a vibrant, caring community where seniors feel valued and supported.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, dining), promoting independence.
  • Serve meals, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging resident socialization.
  • Maintain accurate records of leisure activities, incidents, observations, and resident condition changes.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment, performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Follow emergency procedures and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls.
  • Track resident locations, ensure sign-out procedures are followed, and promptly report missing residents.
  • Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
  • Attend all required in-service training sessions.
  • Actively participate as a member of the community’s emergency response team.
  • Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
