About the Role

The Spanish Teacher plans, guides, and evaluates student learning, serving as a collaborative member of the World Languages department and grade level team. Responsibilities include advising within the House System and modeling servant leadership through retreat participation. Responsibilities

  • Uphold Catholic education philosophy and school mission.

  • Adhere to school Standards of Conduct, policies, and procedures.
  • Plan instruction with logically sequenced objectives based on adopted curriculum.
  • Submit instructional plans according to school policies.
  • Provide appropriate learning materials and resources.
  • Utilize effective instructional methods and models.
  • Employ varied formative and summative assessment tools.
  • Deliver instruction and assessment for understanding.
  • Maintain current and accurate records per school policies.
  • Implement positive, consistent classroom discipline.
  • Communicate with parents on academic, behavioral, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain a work schedule maximizing availability to students, parents, and staff.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Texas driver's license.
  • Maintain compliance with Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies.
  • Meet minimum teaching field requirements set by the Diocese and TCCB ED.
  • Adhere to staff development guidelines from the Diocese and school administration.
  • Complete Religion Certification Part 1 within two years of hire, with a minimum of 25 hours annually.
