The Senior Product Manager - Strategic Clients & Projects Lead serves as the primary product and technology expert for large, strategic global clients and high-value prospect engagements across Real Assets. This role is essential for winning, onboarding, and retaining the organization's most important clients by translating complex business requirements into feasible, scalable product solutions. The ideal candidate partners closely with Sales, Relationship Management, and Client Experience teams throughout the client lifecycle, balancing bespoke client needs with platform scalability and ensuring customizations align with strategic product direction. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary product and technology expert for large, strategic global Real Assets clients and prospect engagements, including discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and solution design.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Relationship Management teams to understand client needs, articulate product capabilities, and ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned with the strategic product roadmap.
  • Lead structured discovery engagements with institutional clients to translate business and operational requirements into clear product inputs, user stories, use cases, and prioritization recommendations.
  • Balance client-specific requests with platform strategy, applying strategic judgment to determine appropriate configuration, roadmap acceleration, or standard capability leverage.
  • Generate and maintain client-specific roadmap views for large, strategic clients, providing tailored presentations of product strategy and delivery timelines.
  • Own and optimize the onboarding approach for large migration clients, designing processes and leveraging technology to increase efficiency, reduce time-to-value, and accelerate sales-to-revenue conversion.
  • Ensure client commitments and deliverables are clearly defined, tracked, and communicated, coordinating across product, engineering, and delivery teams for successful execution.
  • Design accelerated solution delivery approaches in partnership with business units, delivery teams, and technology teams, identifying the optimal path (partner/build/buy) to bring new offerings to market quickly.
  • Validate and explore new product offering potential with Real Assets business units, ensuring strategic alignment and integrating validated opportunities into the broader product roadmap.
  • Provide deep alternative investment domain expertise across fund structures, asset-level data, financial reporting, and servicing workflows to build credibility with institutional clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management or client delivery experience, preferably in financial services technology, with a proven track record of managing complex client engagements and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Deep fluency in Real Assets, including comprehensive understanding of fund structures, investment workflows, reporting requirements, and institutional client servicing models.
  • Demonstrated experience developing or delivering B2B client-facing SaaS solutions, with strong understanding of enterprise software implementation, configuration, and client onboarding best practices.
  • Proven expertise facilitating requirements gathering workshops with institutional clients and internal stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable product specifications and user stories.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts, system architecture, and AI capabilities, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams and credible conversations about technical feasibility and innovation.
  • Executive presence and communication skills, with extensive experience presenting to and guiding strategic conversations with senior financial services professionals, including C-suite executives.
  • Hands-on experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and disciplined agile delivery approaches, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Exceptional influence and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, build trust, and drive alignment across competing priorities.
  • Ability to drive change and engagement, deliver communications, and support employee development.
  • Commitment to a culture of compliance and risk control, mitigating financial, operational, and reputational risks, and maintaining cost and budget discipline.
  • Capability to promote and build the Alter Domus brand and culture internally and externally, acting as a role model.
  • Accountability for ensuring the team maintains the highest social and environmental responsibility and standards.
  • High energy and passion for transforming the business, with a commitment to avoiding complacency and striving for success.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a global mindset, enabling effective partnerships across regions and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, build trust quickly, navigate complexity and ambiguity, and negotiate with tenacity.
  • Resilience and composure under pressure, adept at managing competing demands and prioritizing effectively.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and delegate effectively, fostering a high-performance culture with clear accountabilities and driving cross-functional collaboration.
