About the Role

This role is crucial for managing client financial reporting and ensuring accurate transaction processing within the property management sector.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit client statements, VAT reports, trial balances, general ledgers, and client reports.
  • Action instructions from property/asset managers, including creating new debtors with leases and amending accounts.
  • Prepare completion statements and run system reports based on provided details.
  • Raise rent, service charges, insurance, and ad hoc charges to tenants.
  • Raise and pay void unit service charge liabilities for the client.
  • Enter service charge budgets into the system and update apportionments and tenants.
  • Prepare and reconcile annual service charge accounts, liaising with property managers, centre managers, and auditors.
  • Pay clients in line with agreed procedures and record transactions on the system.
  • Prepare and reconcile funding requests to the client.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of client bank accounts, investigating and correcting discrepancies.
  • Train, support, and mentor junior Client Accountants to ensure quality outputs and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of previous experience in a Client Accounting role.
  • Experience focused on shopping centers is preferred.
  • Experience working with property management software.

  • 10+ years

Education Level

  • AAT qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
