About the Role

The Receptionist is a key member of the Cushman & Wakefield onsite account team, shaping the daily workplace experience for employees, guests, and visitors. This role serves as the first point of contact through in-person interactions, phone communication, and visitor support. The Receptionist creates a warm, professional, and welcoming experience while supporting workplace operations, employee needs, and guest services. We seek a collaborative, service-focused professional dedicated to delivering a high-quality customer experience and fostering positive interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for all employees, guests, executives, vendors, and visitors.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the workplace via in-person interactions, phone, email, and Slack.
  • Ensure a smooth employee and guest experience through warm, clear, and effective communication, providing timely support and direction.
  • Maintain consistent front-of-house coverage during business hours, supporting employees and visitors.
  • Build trusted relationships with employees, executives, cross-functional teams, vendors, and workplace partners.
  • Support high-profile meetings, executive visits, VIP guests, and onsite events with logistics, catering, room readiness, supplies, and hospitality.
  • Support workplace events, employee engagement initiatives, and special onsite activities.
  • Perform general office and workplace support duties, including mail handling, shipping coordination, wayfinding, office tours, and logistical assistance.
  • Provide professional, timely, courteous, and accurate service, maintaining strong knowledge of workplace operations, amenities, and protocols.
  • Maintain ownership of front-of-house appearance, cleanliness, and readiness, proactively identifying and escalating workplace concerns or maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with Security and workplace partners to support front-of-house operations, visitor management, and safety/security protocols.
  • Support Lost & Found, luggage management, visitor check-in processes, and other front-of-house operational procedures.
  • Learn quickly, follow detailed processes, and independently solve problems using available resources and sound judgment.
  • Utilize workplace technology, communication tools, and software platforms for daily responsibilities.
  • Perform daily operational responsibilities with initiative and accountability, including opening/closing, stocking supplies, completing requests, and meeting deadlines.
  • Support cross-functional workplace initiatives and assist with special projects, operational tasks, and team priorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in front-of-house service or other high-touch service environments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the role.

  • Comfortable corresponding with executive-level clients, VIP guests, and individuals at all levels
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, empathy, hospitality mindset, and interpersonal awareness
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • "Can do" mentality with the ability to adapt quickly and respond professionally to changing workplace needs

  • Approachable, polished, and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while confidently managing high-volume activity and workplace interruptions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, providing clear, professional, and service-focused communication
  • Ability to successfully use Slack as a primary communication tool
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and other workplace technology platforms
  • Comfortable using ticket management systems such as Jira
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and applications
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to support workplace operations and special projects

Experience Level

  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience

Education Level

  • Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • College degree and/or related experience and training preferred
