About the Role

This role involves serving as the analytical expert for RealWork, driving product improvements, enhancing customer value, and enabling smarter business decisions. The position requires collaboration across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and the executive team, directly influencing product development, measurement, and success validation. This is a strategic role focused on data interpretation and analysis to form actionable insights, rather than just generating dashboards. The role is AI-native, requiring daily use of modern AI tools for SQL writing, debugging, dataset exploration, analysis drafting, dashboard creation, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product and customer analytics, from event models and data tables to executive dashboards.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to instrument new features, define success metrics, and report on launch outcomes.
  • Analyze customer behavior to identify retention drivers, churn signals, and engagement patterns, translating findings into product and Customer Success recommendations.
  • Build and maintain executive and operational dashboards, ensuring they effectively communicate business performance.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests for product changes, onboarding flows, and CS interventions, including hypothesis formulation, sample sizing, and result readouts.
  • Utilize AI tools daily for SQL generation, data exploration, analysis drafting, and visualization to enhance analytical efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with RevOps, BI, Engineering, Product, and CS to ensure data consistency and trust.
  • Provide strategic input, proactively identifying key areas for business analysis.
  • Develop a retention model linking product engagement to renewal probability and identify influential factors.
  • Manage event models and analytics for RealWork Websites and widgets, covering traffic, conversion, content performance, and phone tracking.
  • Conduct controlled experiments on new onboarding flows and present findings to guide product team decisions.
  • Prepare quarterly executive readouts on customer base health, segmented for leadership decision-making.
  • Streamline legacy dashboards into a focused set of metrics for individual contributors and executive decision-making.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in a product, business, or data analytics role, preferably at a SaaS company.
  • Ability to own analysis end-to-end.
  • Strategic thinker capable of framing business problems and designing analytical solutions.
  • Strong judgment regarding metric quality, able to identify and challenge misleading data or ineffective dashboards.
  • Proficiency as an AI-native analyst, using AI daily for SQL, data exploration, analysis, visualization, and critical thinking.
  • Expert-level SQL skills, including writing, reading, and debugging complex queries in a cloud data warehouse.
  • Familiarity with modern BI tooling (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Tableau).
  • Comfortable managing and manipulating data across warehouses and operational systems, including standing up necessary pipelines.
  • Experience with product analytics tooling (e.g., Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
  • Working understanding of event modeling, customer journey funnels, and time-series metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations.
  • Inherent curiosity, consistently asking probing questions to understand underlying issues.
  • Web analytics experience (GA4, GTM, server-side tracking) and understanding of marketing/conversion performance measurement (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, including statistical understanding of sample sizing and significance (preferred).
  • Experience writing production-grade Python or using dbt for data transformations and models (preferred).
  • A clear perspective on the future of analytics in an AI-native world (preferred).
