About the Role
Leads a store business unit, focusing on creating a consistent and positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising all team members and business operations.
- Monitor and facilitate all production, retail, pick-up, delivery, shipping, and quality control processes.
- Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform all functions normally performed by a team member.
- Demonstrate consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert customer service.
- Evaluate team member efficiency and productivity in creating positive customer experiences.
- Resolve customer disputes and complaints to ensure timely resolution and satisfaction.
- Create and monitor a customer-focused, clean, and professional store environment across all areas (production, retail, self-service, shipping).
- Establish and manage customer flow processes to improve service, meet needs quickly, and deliver quality products.
- Provide training and development to team members on assigned shifts, monitoring goals and providing feedback.
- Interview job applicants, comply with hiring policies, and assist the Store Manager with hiring.
- Coach, counsel, and provide performance feedback to team members, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
- Maintain communication with the Store Lead Consultant and/or production team to meet deadlines and perform quality checks.
- Oversee shipping-related services and activities.
- Communicate daily, weekly, and monthly goals, performance, key metrics, customer issues, and company initiatives to the Store Manager and team members.
- Comply with and enforce FedEx Office policies and procedures, maintaining an environment of controls.
- Assist the Store Manager with payroll review and transmission, and daily POS close-out.
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, payroll management, training compliance, daily POS close-out, bidding, ordering, receiving supplies, and inventory controls.
- Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes and possible solutions.
- Work with management to reduce company costs/wastes and optimize profitability.
- Apply Quality concepts from training during daily activities.
- Support FedEx Office Quality initiatives.
- Perform all other duties as needed or required.
Requirements
- Ability to stand during the entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds.
- Ability to consistently bend/twist at the waist and knees.
- Ability to consistently communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to consistently perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.
- Ability to consistently function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure.
- Ability to consistently maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
- Ability to consistently work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to consistently report regularly to work and maintain established business hours.
Experience Level
- 1+ year of related experience
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
Education Level
- High School diploma or equivalent education
Salary/Compensations
- $24.40/hr-$29.89/hr
