About the Role
Manage and grow strategic customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and customer advocate to align objectives with business goals, driving satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability. Contribute to customer outcomes and the Strategic Relationship Management team, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and influencing retirement readiness strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Practice strategic relationship management and consultative selling.
- Optimize customer satisfaction and loyalty by aligning customer objectives with business targets.
- Advocate for customers and act as an industry expert.
- Contribute to the Strategic Relationship Management team and the organization.
- Achieve annual metrics for retention, customer profitability, and engagement.
- Learn and apply Manulife John Hancock Retirement products, features, and services.
- Manage internal and external customer relationships, leveraging resources.
- Utilize consultative selling and negotiation skills to optimize product features, plan design, and employee retirement readiness.
- Demonstrate executive presence and subject matter expertise to influence outcomes aligning customer and company objectives.
- Adhere to company and department processes, including meeting preparation, travel/expense, CRM documentation, and data integrity.
- Support new sales and market development initiatives.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License.
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, and 63 or 66, State Insurance licensing, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience in retirement, financial services, or institutional relationship management.
- Proven track record managing strategic or complex customer accounts.
- Experience influencing senior-level customer and internal stakeholders.
- Understanding of retirement plan design and employee financial wellness strategies.
- Ability to develop strategy, set goals, and adapt in dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated initiative, motivation, accountability, and resilience.
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze complex customer relationships and execute strategic goals.
- Strong business acumen, executive presence, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build rapport and partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
