About the Role

The AI Data Engineer (Level 5) plays a critical role in driving best practices supporting Comcast Global Audit (CGA) by building, supporting, and maintaining a modern audit data platform supporting advanced data analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence. This role focuses on designing scalable, AI and automation solutions, as well as resilient data pipelines with a strong emphasis on automation, quality, governance, and observability. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong system thinking, and the ability to lead technical decisions that drive scalability, trust, and transparency across the audit data ecosystem. This role offers broad exposure to the Comcast Corporation through the audit process and provides opportunities to influence risk management strategies through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

  • Clarify and design solution requirements and architecture for AI/Automation.
  • Transform fragmented, manual data inputs into production-grade pipelines for audit engagements.
  • Support and provide feedback on scalable data solution design for audit objectives.
  • Oversee team members to ensure consistency across the data ecosystem.
  • Proactively identify improvement areas for standardization and automation, leveraging AI.
  • Manage AI, automation, and data projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and status reporting.
  • Translate business requirements and problem statements into proposed solutions, clarifying process flows and optimization opportunities.
  • Design, build, and maintain AI/automation solutions and resilient, automated data pipelines.
  • Implement modular, well-documented transformation logic and data models for standardized audit workflows.
  • Build end-to-end pipeline monitoring, including logging, alerting, and traceability.
  • Develop and support CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) for secure, auditable deployments.
  • Manage data integration across diverse sources (APIs, SFTP, databases) using secure, repeatable patterns.
  • Deliver robust engineering solutions independently, including root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
  • Lead code reviews and contribute to evolving team-wide engineering standards, documentation, and architecture.
  • Deliver incremental benefits with tangible deliverables, balancing short-term needs with long-term architectural improvements.
  • Maintain strong operational rigor by writing testable, observable, well-documented, scalable code.
  • Engage in collaborative planning and sprint cycles with cross-functional data teams.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with company data classification policies.
  • Analyze data to assess compliance with policies, procedures, best practices, US GAAP, and legal/governmental requirements.
  • Perform ETL and data analysis activities using various data concepts, tools, and programming techniques.
  • Build AI solutions using specified AI technologies.
  • Develop process flows, prototypes, and requirements documentation.
  • Create, document, and execute support process steps and test procedures for data deliverables.
  • Facilitate decision-making throughout the lifecycle of data solution creation and enhancement.
  • Prepare clear, well-organized analysis workpapers, documenting root-cause, work performed, findings, and recommendations.
  • Create graphical reports and executive presentations to summarize analysis and findings.
  • Review team workpapers, presentations, and documentation for clarity, completeness, and organization.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
  • Assist with managing, scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining automated processes in production.
  • Support department objectives and perform assigned duties.
  • Apply strong analytical skills and business knowledge to assess processes, risks, and controls.
  • Stay current on data analytics trends, data engineering, and emerging technologies impacting audit work.
  • Continuously explore and evaluate new tools, libraries, and frameworks for data quality, automation, and audit transparency.
  • Perform effectively as a project leader across engagements.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks flexibly, allocating work across team members or supporting execution.

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and development on interactions with business management and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to team activities, tools, and training.
  • Keep CGA management informed of findings, status, and important issues.
  • Act in accordance with CGA and company policies, maintaining the highest integrity.
  • Display regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
  • Work nights and weekends, variable schedules, as necessary.
  • Travel out-of-town up to approximately 20%.
  • Collaborate with CGA engagement teams to enhance audit work product, productivity, or coverage using data analytics/automation.
  • Partner strategically with audit senior leadership, proposing solutions that manage risk and optimize resources.
  • Collaborate with others, demonstrating strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Assist other team members in areas outside of direct assignments when necessary.

  • Gain and apply knowledge of IT controls and cyber security concepts to engagements.
  • Manage and mentor engagement team members to develop audit, data, and business knowledge.
  • Assist less experienced team members with their development.
