About the Role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander's global division supporting complex corporate and institutional clients with customised services and value-added wholesale products. The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) - US Private Placement (USPP) team originates, structures, distributes, and syndicates debt private placements and other credit products to major corporations and institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior USPP team members from a financial, operational, competitive, and industry perspective.
  • Research and analyze industries and market data.
  • Create Pitch Book presentations.
  • Support the development of financial models for origination activities.
  • Perform transaction due diligence.
  • Support the production of offering memoranda and engagement letters.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable, successful track record of executing DCM-USPP transactions.
  • Previous DCM and USPP specific business development, product specialist management, or related experience.
  • Intellectually product savvy, energetic, and self-motivated with initiative to achieve sales goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Bloomberg.
  • Ability to influence and drive complex initiatives and manage logistics with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and analyze leading technologies and companies.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.

  • Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
