About the Role
Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander's global division supporting complex corporate and institutional clients with customised services and value-added wholesale products. The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) - US Private Placement (USPP) team originates, structures, distributes, and syndicates debt private placements and other credit products to major corporations and institutions.
Responsibilities
- Support Senior USPP team members from a financial, operational, competitive, and industry perspective.
- Research and analyze industries and market data.
- Create Pitch Book presentations.
- Support the development of financial models for origination activities.
- Perform transaction due diligence.
- Support the production of offering memoranda and engagement letters.
Requirements
- Demonstrable, successful track record of executing DCM-USPP transactions.
- Previous DCM and USPP specific business development, product specialist management, or related experience.
- Intellectually product savvy, energetic, and self-motivated with initiative to achieve sales goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Bloomberg.
- Ability to influence and drive complex initiatives and manage logistics with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to understand and analyze leading technologies and companies.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.

- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
