About the Role

Seeking a consultant with strong communication and foundational infrastructure background to manage software licenses and subscriptions across cloud and on-prem environments. This role involves creating visibility into software assets, usage, consumption, and costs, identifying optimization opportunities, and is ideal for someone with experience in IT asset management, software licensing, infrastructure operations, or SaaS administration.

Responsibilities

Assess and organize existing software/license inventory data.
Create and maintain a centralized inventory of software licenses, subscriptions, and cloud services.
Track utilization, consumption, ownership, renewal dates, and spending trends.
Identify optimization and rationalization opportunities across platforms and tools.
Review cloud and non-cloud licensing environments for redundancy and underutilization.
Provide recommendations for governance, reporting, and ongoing management processes.
Recommend a long-term solution/tool set for license and subscription management.
Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, procurement, and business stakeholders.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership and technical teams.

Requirements

Experience with IT asset management, software licensing, SaaS management, or infrastructure operations.
General understanding of cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure environments.
Ability to work independently and interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with inventory tracking, reporting, or optimization initiatives.
Experience with tools such as ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Zylo, Snow, or similar platforms.
Background supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud operations.
Experience with Microsoft licensing and SaaS optimization initiatives.
Consulting experience preferred.
