About the Role
As an Account Executive at Traild, you will unlock new possibilities for clients by demonstrating the unique value of Traild's solutions. You will partner with CFOs, controllers, and finance leaders across SME, mid-market, and enterprise organizations to streamline, automate, and protect their accounts payable operations. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role at a company rapidly scaling across North America, APAC, and EMEA. You will serve as a trusted advisor, a sharp closer, and a key voice in shaping the U.S. go-to-market strategy. This position is ideal for those energized by complex B2B sales, payments, fintech, and building a category leader. There is a potential request for a 3-month temporary relocation to San Francisco to work and learn alongside the Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Sales.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle, including qualification, demonstration, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Convert SDR-sourced, channel-sourced, and self-sourced opportunities into closed-won revenue.
- Maintain accurate CRM hygiene at every stage.
- Strategically prospect to build a personal pipeline using modern sales tools, ABM tactics, and finance/CFO networks.
- Lead engaging, business-outcome-focused demonstrations for CFOs, finance directors, controllers, AP managers, and ERP/IT stakeholders.
- Translate Traild's AI-driven automation, fraud protection, and payments capabilities into clear ROI.
- Develop expertise in B2B payments, accounts payable workflows, fraud and control risks, and ERP ecosystems.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Traild's evolving product.
- Build durable relationships across mid-market and enterprise customers.
- Identify expansion opportunities and partner with Customer Success to deliver long-term value.
- Build and execute account plans.
- Forecast accurately and consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Provide data-driven insights to the Go-to-Market organization.
- Deeply understand customer pain points and partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- Influence product roadmap and improve the buyer experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of sales experience in the fintech payments space.
- Proven track record working with mid-market and large enterprises, ideally with finance, CFO, or AP buyer personas.
- Strong commercial instincts, skilled in discovery, value-selling, negotiation, and closing complex multi-stakeholder deals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for executive conversations and product walkthroughs.
- Team-oriented mindset with a passion for collective success.
- Strong collaborator embracing growth, hands-on execution, adaptability, and a scale-up spirit.
- Familiarity with ERP ecosystems (e.g., SYSPRO, IFS, MYOB, NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Experience at an early- or growth-stage SaaS company scaling from Series B onward.
- A network within the U.S. CFO/Controller/AP community.

- On Target Earnings (OTE): $150,000 - $240,000 USD per year (U.S. Candidates)
