About the Role

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of mechanical and electrical machinery. This role involves industrial machinery upkeep, working independently or with a crew, and performing efficient mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance on various equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Service equipment and tools including motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and comply with NEC standards on wiring and installations.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring tools.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
• Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Optimize maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalities.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• Maintenance experience
• Experience with Industrial maintenance
• Corrective/breakdown experience preferred
• Working knowledge of industrial equipment, its usage, and safety procedures
• Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented
• Ability to learn and apply standard tools and techniques to solve problems
• Positive "can-do" attitude
• Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently
• Ability to contribute to team effort by accomplishing results and meeting expectations
• Ability to navigate various areas consisting of uneven terrain, climbing stairs, ladders, and working at heights
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift objects up to 60 pounds
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work in atmospheric conditions such as extreme cold, heat, humidity, and other various weather conditions
• Ability to work in environments with moderate noise levels
• Required to wear common protective clothing and use proper safety equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.)
