About the Role

NRMA Driver Training is seeking a Learning & Development Consultant – Driver Training to design, deliver, and improve corporate driver training and instructor capability programs. This role involves training delivery, coaching, instructional input, and continuous improvement, with a focus on road safety and developing people.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver approved driver training programs to corporate clients
  • Deliver induction and ongoing group training for new and existing driver trainers
  • Provide 1:1, in-car coaching to instructors to support capability uplift
  • Analyze instructor and participant feedback to improve training effectiveness
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of training content, delivery approaches and on-road routes
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure training meets agreed standards
  • Maintain training records and complete required administration

Requirements

  • Experience in training, coaching or facilitation (services environment preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and assess competency consistently against defined standards (including providing clear, constructive feedback)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to high-quality customer service
  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Experience in content development for training programs
  • Competence using common digital tools (e.g. LMS, MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and learner engagement
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to adapt delivery to different audiences and learning needs
  • High level planning, organisation and attention to detail, including preparation of lesson plans, session resources and assessment documentation
