About the Role
NRMA Driver Training is seeking a Learning & Development Consultant – Driver Training to design, deliver, and improve corporate driver training and instructor capability programs. This role involves training delivery, coaching, instructional input, and continuous improvement, with a focus on road safety and developing people.
Responsibilities
- Deliver approved driver training programs to corporate clients
- Deliver induction and ongoing group training for new and existing driver trainers
- Provide 1:1, in-car coaching to instructors to support capability uplift
- Analyze instructor and participant feedback to improve training effectiveness
- Contribute to the design and improvement of training content, delivery approaches and on-road routes
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure training meets agreed standards
- Maintain training records and complete required administration
Requirements
- Experience in training, coaching or facilitation (services environment preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to coach and assess competency consistently against defined standards (including providing clear, constructive feedback)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to high-quality customer service
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
- Experience in content development for training programs
- Competence using common digital tools (e.g. LMS, MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of adult learning principles and learner engagement
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to adapt delivery to different audiences and learning needs
- High level planning, organisation and attention to detail, including preparation of lesson plans, session resources and assessment documentation
