About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst (Managed Expenses) plays a pivotal role in driving disciplined expense oversight and strategic investment for the Licensed Consumer Products and Entertainment businesses. This role is responsible for delivering timely, actionable insights into operating expenses to ensure the company maintains financial agility while supporting growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and manage operating expenses to ensure financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the financial planning and analysis for our LCP and Entertainment businesses.
- Develop financial models to project expenses.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine and successfully implement financial strategies.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to drive performance improvements.
- Monitor financial trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with finance and accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Qualified or part-qualified with a recognized accounting institution, e.g., CPA, CFA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA.
- Experience of managed expenses and business partnering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the finance or commercial sectors.
- Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide insightful recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Strong knowledge of financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
- A collaborative approach with a proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
