About the Role

The Salon Manager is responsible for all facets of a salon’s operations and provides leadership and tools for staff to help them increase their clientele and the business. The Salon Leader also provides all hair care services offered by Supercuts and ensures the highest quality of guest service standards and salon profitability. The Salon Manager provides guests with excellent service providing the full range of hair care services offered by their salon. Supercuts endeavors to provide every guest with a great experience every time they visit by providing quality consultations, exceptional service and the knowledge to duplicate the desired look at home.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of salon operations.
  • Provide leadership and tools to staff to increase clientele and business.
  • Provide all hair care services offered by Supercuts.
  • Ensure highest quality guest service standards.
  • Ensure salon profitability.
  • Provide excellent guest service, including full range of hair care services.
  • Conduct quality consultations.
  • Educate guests on duplicating desired looks at home.
  • Complete schedules.
  • Process transactions on computerized register.
  • Perform close-out procedures.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties.
  • Handle banking procedures.
  • Manage salon inventory.
  • Conduct staff meetings.
  • Resolve guest issues.
  • Lead and develop a team.
  • Create a positive work environment.
  • Train and guide on business and technical competency matters.
  • Resolve associate issues.

Requirements

  • Current cosmetology or barber license.
  • Manager license as required by state/provincial regulations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to provide exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to understand guest needs.
  • Ability to provide quality consultations.
  • Ability to perform services efficiently and professionally.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks.
  • Ability to resolve guest issues.
  • Ability to effectively lead and develop a team.

  • Ability to train and provide guidance on business and technical competency matters.
  • Ability to resolve associate issues.
  • Ability to stand for sustained periods.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform continuous repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to perform continuous grasping and reaching, often above shoulder level.
  • Ability to be exposed to various chemicals and fragrances.
  • Ability to observe guest’s hair, including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
  • Ability to communicate with guests regarding services and needs.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for out-of-town meetings, sometimes overnight.

Education Level
