About the Role
We are seeking a Planning Engineer for Signaling and Control Technology (w/m/d) for our sister company Arcadis Mobility Germany GmbH at one of our German locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop technically demanding projects and execution documents for signaling and control technology and/or level crossing technology.
- Manage the conversion or modernization of signaling systems with various interlocking technologies.
- Plan, monitor, coordinate, order, and control the timeliness and quality of sub-services provided by project-specific planners or subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the project team, clients, supervisory authorities (EBA), and external engineering firms.
- Participate in the tendering process.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and DB (Deutsche Bahn) guidelines in the development of assigned projects.
- Attend site inspections.
- Identify contractually owed services and distinguish them from services not contractually owed (additional claims).
Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Signaling and Control Technology, Communications Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Qualification as a specialist planner for Signaling and Control Technology is advantageous.
- Professional experience in planning (railway) infrastructure projects, construction phases, and creating bills of quantities.
- Experience with planning tools such as AutoCAD, ProSig, ProVi, and MS Office, as well as BIM knowledge.
- Very good knowledge of Signaling and Control Technology, as well as knowledge of HOAI, VOB, and current legal provisions.
