About the Role
Manages day-to-day operations of live entertainment productions across the US and/or UK, coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and overseeing technical and operational aspects. This detail-oriented role efficiently manages resources, cast, crew, and equipment for seamless project execution. Collaborates with producers, project managers, directors, technical teams, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality content within creative and budgetary constraints, maintaining direct accountability for client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize client satisfaction and provide world-class customer service.
- Develop detailed production schedules, timelines, and workflows, ensuring timely and in-scope execution.
- Oversee resource allocation, including crew, equipment, vendors, and site logistics, for optimal asset use.
- Manage production budgets, track costs, manage expenses, and negotiate with vendors for cost-effective operations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers, talent, and contractors, including contract negotiation, deliverable management, and compliance.
- Hire, schedule, and manage production crews and technical personnel, ensuring full briefing and equipment.
- Coordinate all site logistics, including venue, permitting, transportation, equipment, and asset installation.
- Oversee setup, operation, and strike of production equipment with technical teams, including video, lighting, sound, scenic, and SFX.
- Ensure productions meet high quality and safety standards, conducting site checks and real-time troubleshooting.
- Implement and enforce on-site health and safety protocols, ensuring crew adherence.
- Identify and mitigate production risks, developing contingency plans for technical, operational, or scheduling challenges.
- Maintain detailed production records, including call sheets, daily progress reports, expense logs, and equipment inventories.
Requirements
- Degree in Arts Administration, Production, Film, Media, Sports, Communications, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
- 5+ years of experience in production management within sports, entertainment, or live event industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of live entertainment production processes, equipment, logistics, and programming.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Wrike, Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in production environments.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Leadership skills to enable team achievement through planning, collaboration, and confident decision-making.
- Ability to provide clear direction to team members, crew, talent, vendors, and stakeholders.
