About the Role

As a member of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team, the H&S Engineer (w/m/d) is responsible for health protection and occupational safety issues, reporting to the Country QHSE Manager.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle tasks and create H&S-relevant documentation, such as risk assessments, operating instructions, and change management documents.
• Support and independently plan and execute projects in the area of Health & Safety.
• Assist in incident investigations for root cause analysis and implement necessary measures for accident prevention.
• Prepare and conduct internal training and inductions with a focus on H&S, including independently conveying relevant content.
• Participate in internal and external audits, including their organization, execution, and documentation.
• Actively support the development of a proactive HSW culture by promoting safety-conscious behavior among all employees.

Requirements

• Ideally, have completed further training as a specialist in occupational safety.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legal regulations and guidelines.
• Initial professional experience in occupational safety management (ISO 45001, SCL) and willingness to further develop expertise in the subject.
• High service orientation and social competence, as well as strong communication skills and assertiveness.
• Independent and structured way of working with a high degree of solution orientation and a hands-on mentality.
• Good presentation skills, passion for H&S topics, and a deep understanding of the importance of H&S for Arcadis.
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
