Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure smooth transition from development to production, guaranteeing viable product specifications aligned with design.
- Identify potential product problems and ensure timely resolution.
- Prior to fitting, familiarize with TP and SMS sample, review and compare tech pack history at SMS and PPS stages for accuracy and details.
- During fittings, lead for all fit-related issues on SMS and PPS, highlighting previous comments, factory notes, workmanship details, taking notes/photos, and recapping style fit/design changes.
- Post fittings, partner with production manager to discuss priority, update tech packs, and send fit comments and specs within 48 hours.
- Draft technical design or construction sketches to convey changes to manufacturers and vendors.
- Communicate with vendors to quickly answer factory questions/concerns and avoid delays.
- Collaborate with production team to review TOPs for quality control.
- Issue graded measures based on grading rules and style specifications after PP sample approval.
- Collaborate with overseas factories on grading rule suggestions/issues.
- Collaborate with domestic grading company to ensure grading rules align with pattern grading for domestic production.
- Perform ad hoc projects assigned by the production manager, including reviewing/updating grading rules, updating tech pack templates, assisting with transferring tech designer's procedure to Zedonk, and creating a quality standards manual.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in technical design or fashion production
- Proficient in Excel
