About the Role
Join Sprouts Farmers Market as a Cashier to deliver extraordinary customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment, helping people make healthy choices in one of the fastest-growing retailers.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
- Accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change
- Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints
- Follow all front end procedures
- Assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed
- Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items
- Provide customers with product location direction throughout the store
- Stay familiar with ongoing and upcoming events and seminars
- Maintain excellent communication with front end manager and Head Cashier
- Ensure checkout areas are properly maintained in a clean and orderly condition
- Execute all other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
- Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude
- Ability to interact with customers
- Ability to operate front end equipment including register, calculator, and scanner
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
- Ability to participate in a team environment
- Ability to perform repetitious activities
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
- Ability to lift/carry product horizontally/vertically weighing up to 30 lbs for up to 50 hours
- Ability to use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring a force up to 35 lbs for up to 50 hours
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
- Proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
